Hey Daniel here, being a BJJ black belt with over 13 years of experience I'm passionate about teaching clean, technical Jiu-Jitsu in a relaxed and welcoming environment which I've cultivated here at North Coast BJJ.
I enjoy guiding beginners through the tough, but rewarding learning process and helping every student progress through understanding of proper technique rather than brute strength, regardless of their knowledge or skill level.
I can't wait to see you on the mats!
OUR STORY
MAR 2023
I took the ambitious and scary step of opening up my first club, as a Purple Belt in the Inverness Leisure Centre, hoping to create a club that represents the best of clubs I train at in the past.
OCT 2023
In the first round of gradings for our new gym, not only did I have the pleasure of handing out our first stripes to our new white belts, I was awarded my brown belt from my old coach Ian Harrop of Checkmat Plymouth.
FEB 2024
Next we moved into our new one of a kind home "the grapple chappel" giving us more instructor led BJJ time than any other club in the highlands. Our wee club is beginning to grow.
MAY 2025
Our club moves again to our current home in Munlochy Village Hall, toilets, heating and most importantly A KETTLE. We have grown in our second year as a club and we are pleased to say we have many more men, women and children practitioners!
JUN 2025
During a Seminar again by my old Coach Ian Harrop, I was awarded my black belt after years of hard work, with the teaching helping improve my own BJJ and bring a high standard to the club.
PRESENT
Everyone who steps onto the mats for NC BJJ and puts 100% in gets my respect. And im proud to say that NC BJJ has three Scottish Champions at white belt, a testement to the quality of training everyone brings.
